I was offered a samosa by a colleague and when I told him it's my vrat today, he asked me why. I told him it's ekadashi. There's this pyaari girl too who sits in the wagecage next to me who overheard this and got really excited and said:
"Saaar aap bhi ekadashi rakhte hain? Mai bhi rakhti hu! Mujhe nahi lagta tha ki ladke bhi rakhte honge."
Truth be told, I was peer pressured into keeping ekadashi vrats at my old workplace by my seniors who observed fasts on ekadashi and it became a habit.
Now this pyaari who never even talked to me before is discussing how modern heendus are losing their culture these days.
