Math was the easiest and my most favourite subject. I'm not good with memorizing or route learning and maths was the subject that I had the least difficulty because I didn't have to memorize a lot and just needs to learn a few formulas.
Often times I don't study on the previous day of a math exam because all I need is to by heart a few formulas and go for the test.
There's not a bigger sign of a lowborn than someone saying math is hard.

in fact memorization was practised very heavily in the western world , esp. nazi germany and britain both in every single subject as well as a punishment for children when they missbehaved or failed to perform
