May the peace of the Lord be with you always. Praise to the Lord who has shown us mercy and given us eternal salvation.
By nature, we are evil and can follow none of God’s Law. We are sinners who have earned nothing but His wrath. And yet He loves us. So much so that even before the world’s foundation, our Father in Heaven decreed to redeem us.
He sent Jesus Christ, His only Son, true God and true man, to suffer and die on the cross for us — to take the punishment we deserved. By His stripes, we are healed. Whoever trusts in Christ’s sacrifice has the penalty of all their sins paid on the cross, and the righteousness of our Lord is declared theirs.
The Holy Spirit, of the same divine substance as the Father and the Son, gives us faith to trust in Christ — this faith cannot come from ourselves. It is through faith in Christ alone that the Holy Spirit forgives our sins and gives us everlasting life. If you believe, all your sins are forgiven before God, and on the last day, you will be raised from the dead to live in God’s Kingdom and glorify Him forever.
Turn to Christ. He loves you. He died for your redemption and justification. God calls on us to serve Him here in time in in His Kingdom in the bliss of eternity.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
“While we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. Why, one will hardly die for a righteous man—though perhaps for a good man one will dare even to die. But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we are now justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:6-10)
