nah i just use the app indicator and dash to dock extension.
too many extensions are not my need + i dont like desktop icons. i just press the super key and type the first 2 3 characters and hit enter.
i was an arch + dwm user for 3 years. i have shifted to gnome only recently, so i just prefer keyboard centric workflow more.

I absolutely hate bindows man. A company came to my college offering a pretty good package, but I have to install windows to give exam because the browser they were taking exam in is only supported in windows. I installed windows that took me fucking 1 hours or so. then I open that browser for test and all of a sudden blue screen of death appears. I miss my opportunity due to bindows. I will kill every bhangi who uses or make other uses bindows

my ssd went bad and i had to switch to ubuntu because win 10 wouldnt work on hdd.
my ssd refuses to be read as a boot drive but works fine as storage drive in linux
