As per the title,Rigved is oldest Hindu text and clearly it signals that Indra is supreme. So why does current Hindus do not worship him like purana gods(Shiva,Vishnu and his avatara's) or the vedas are now being used by just to kang on other religions that our oldest text was wriiten almost 2x earlier than ur's.
+Indra also got his counterparts in many other pagan religions, and he was clearly older written than his counterpart,on the other hand Purana God's rarely got their counterpart's in other religions.
Correct me if i am wrong,am Just curious about these thing.
Is Indra considered the Supreme God In vedic hinduism?, and did the Puranas destroyed his image?
