There’s something so deep and personal about this painting. If instead of seeing Lucifer from a Biblical lens, you see him as a guy who just wanted to revolt against authority and defy nature; it changes the whole scenario.

The defeat he faced seems so heart wrenching and personal to me. Imagine you’re the most beautiful thing god created and then the next seconds you’re lying on a pile of shit. This is everything I experience in my life:- humiliation, embarrassment, resentment, hatred and defeat. You were destined to beauty, glory and love but now all you have with yourself is the flame of hatred within your heart.
