how do i deal with my muslim parents forcing me to pray every day when i’m secretly atheist/agnostic? i don't have anything against muslims, but being made to recite the quran and pray fills me with uncontrollable anger and suifuel

ngl these are the moments when I feel genuinely privileged to be born into an Indic/Dharmic religion
in my case Hinduism, most parents do not really force their kids to pray. there is actual agency involved. and since my Janeu ceremony has not happened yet, I still have full autonomy for as long as I choose
I am pretty sure the same framework exists in Sikhism, Jainism, and Buddhism as well

Can't really blame them. Religious people are lunatics. I've been brought up in a religious household (Islam) just like you and attended all their rituals from a young age up until I was old enough so my parents couldn't force me anymore. Now I hate religion with a passion.
